Pro Player. A brand that brings to mind workout gear, professional sporting equipment, and those Starter-esque puffy team jackets... You've undoubtedly spotted their logo on gear from novelty team tees to yoga pants to skate guards.
Well, it seems that there is more to Pro Player than sports gear, and luckily we are here to introduce you to the brief, shining moment in history when Pro Player was kicking ass in the... novelty denim game?!
Yes, you read that right. Founded in 1988 by designer Daniel Young, Pro Player originally gained a lot of traction in the 90s with their line of over-the-top, all-over-printed, look-at-me fan denim jackets and jeans.
We were lucky enough to score one of these 90s streetwear relics, in the form of a sick pair of Las Vegas Raiders light-wash denim jeans. They are simply amazing, and they are what started us down this rabbit hole of 90s Pro Player denim mania.
